VOLUNTEER
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Champions Community Foundation. We have a lot of different ways you can help, including preparing meals, driving the Champions Place van, helping at our bi-monthly sport scrimmages, and hosting special events (like breakfasts, gardening, yoga, ice cream socials, bocce ball tournaments) — or maybe you have another idea!
Prepare a meal
Plan a fresh and healthy meal - meals can be catered, prepared off-site and warmed up and/or finished at Champions Place, or freshly prepared on site. Serve 15-20 people. One resident is dairy-free and allergic to fish (shellfish is OK)
Please arrive by 5 to prepare and plan to serve dinner at 6pm. There is staff to assist you and help you understand “how we typically do it” at Champions Place.
Driving the van
Help the Champions Place residents get to group scrimmages, social events, and to church on Sundays.
More importantly, you will get to know these young adults as they experience great growth and change in their lives because of Champions Place.
Our Ford Transit passenger van with lift gate seats 3 able-bodied riders; three riders secured in wheelchairs, and a driver. We will help you feel comfortable driving the van and train you on the wheelchair securement system.
You must have a Georgia license and a good driving record.
Other ways to help
